Speaker Tanci Hernandez, Regional Sales and Safety Manager – SLIPNOT
Tanci Hernandez is a certified Walking-Working Surfaces and Fall Protection Specialist, affiliated with the National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP) and an active member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP). With extensive experience in occupational safety, Tanci has established herself as a leading authority in fall protection, contributing significantly to the field through her expertise and dedication.
Tanci’s professional journey is marked by a strong commitment to both safety and community engagement. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Southwestern University, which has greatly influenced her approach to instructing and leading safety professionals. Her educational background, coupled with her practical experience, has helped her gain a reputation for excellence and leadership in safety.
In addition to her work in safety, Tanci is a passionate advocate for women in the industry. She actively mentors within the Association of Women in the Metals Industry (AWMI), providing guidance and support to women navigating their careers in a traditionally male-dominated field. Her mentorship extends to promoting female participation in various industry sectors, including manufacturing.
Tanci’s commitment to community service is equally impressive. Through the American Public Works Association (APWA), she spearheads initiatives aimed at improving public infrastructure and fostering community engagement.
